Silva's Late Strike Secures FA Cup Victory for Manchester City

Guardiola's Side Keep Double Hopes Alive

Silva's 84th-minute Goal Earns City 1-0 Semi-Final Triumph

Bernardo Silva's late goal kept Manchester City's hopes of a domestic double alive as Pep Guardiola's side secured a 1-0 FA Cup semi-final victory against Chelsea on Sunday.

With the game seemingly heading towards extra time, Silva struck with just six minutes remaining to send the City fans into raptures and book their place in the final.

The victory also keeps City's quadruple hopes alive, with the Premier League leaders still in contention for the Carabao Cup and Champions League.

Chelsea, who have now lost three of their last four games, will be left to rue a missed opportunity as they saw their hopes of a cup double vanish.

The match was a tight and tense affair, with both sides having chances to win it.

Chelsea had the better of the first half and came close to taking the lead on several occasions, but City goalkeeper Ederson was in inspired form.

City improved after the break and started to create more chances of their own.

The winning goal came in the 84th minute when Silva latched onto a loose ball in the Chelsea area and fired home a low shot.

Chelsea threw everything forward in search of an equalizer, but City held on to secure the victory.
