Broncos make seven picks in 2024 NFL Draft

Denver adds depth to roster with focus on defense

The 2024 NFL Draft began Thursday night in Detroit and the Denver Broncos made seven of the drafts 257. Here's the full list of the Broncos draft picks by round along with a look at their top roster needs headed into the draft:

• Round 1, Pick 12: Devon Witherspoon, CB, Illinois
• Round 2, Pick 33: Julius Brents, S, Kansas State
• Round 3, Pick 75: Adetomiwa Adebawore, DT, Northwestern
• Round 4, Pick 105: Darius Rush, CB, South Carolina
• Round 5, Pick 137: Nick Emmanwori, OLB, South Carolina
• Round 6, Pick 178: Will Mallory, TE, Miami (FL)
• Round 7, Pick 225: Alontae Taylor, S, Tennessee

The Broncos had a number of needs heading into the draft, including cornerback, safety, and defensive tackle. They addressed those needs with their first three picks, selecting Witherspoon, Brents, and Adebawore. They also added some depth to their offense with the selection of Mallory in the sixth round.

Overall, the Broncos had a solid draft class in 2024. They added some much-needed depth to their defense and they also added some potential playmakers on offense. With a number of young players on their roster, the Broncos are hoping to make a playoff run in 2024.
